Dr. Brendan Black
PT, DPT, CSCS, DN-cert
I grew up in Greenfield, Missouri, a small farming town. I grew up playing four sports (baseball, basketball, football, and track) but ultimately decided to pursue track and field in college. My history with sports and subsequent injuries led me to discover physical therapy. I got my undergraduate degree at the University of Central Missouri and my doctorate degree at Missouri State University. My experiences include being a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, certified in Dry Needling, and formerly LSVT-BIG certified for Parkinson’s Disease.
Empathy – Quintessential for understanding the road that led a patient to PT
Kindness – Patients come to PT not only for the physical ailment, but the emotional aspect as well
Lightheartedness – Laughter and smiles are the second-best medicine, behind actual medicine

“Well, there ain’t no point in crying about it”
-My father, in regards to shrugging off the things you can’t control and moving on
I bring a background in sports and functional rehabilitation, as well as specialties in strength and conditioning and dry needling to get patients back to their previous level of function and beyond; we are all athletes in our own right!
I pride myself on treating not only the physical ailments that patients are referred for but also understanding the emotional and social aspects of injuries.
I love the family atmosphere—every patient and therapist feel like they are more than just a number or a cog in the machine. When you step through the door, you are always greeted with a smile and feel as though you are truly cared about.
